Yes. The Friends of Newport News Fire Department Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and our finances are governed by a dedicated Board of Directors committed to fiscal integrity.
Contributions support essential Newport News Fire Department equipment and programs not covered by the City's budget, as requested by NNFD Administration. They also fund activities aligned with the CFAAA’s mission to advance community initiatives and support goals.
Our funds support specialized training that goes beyond mandated city requirements. This includes advanced technical skills (like complex rescue or HazMat certification) and leadership development, ensuring the NNFD is prepared to mitigate high-stakes, low-frequency incidents that threaten major industrial operations.
Please contact the FNNFD directly via email or phone to request a formal Corporate Proposal Kit and schedule a meeting with the Fire Chief and Board representative.
